Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Lochy

Lochy, loch and river, Inverness-shire; the loch forms part of the navigation of the Caledonian Canal, and extends 10 miles NE. and SW.; the river issues from the SW. end of the loch, and flows 8 miles SW., along the border of Kilmonivaig and Kilmalie pars., to Loch Linnhe near Fort William; is an excellent salmon river.
