In 1837, Samuel Lewis's Topographical Dictionary of Ireland described Rossduff like this:

ROSSDUFF, a parish, in the barony of GAULTIER, county of WATERFORD, and province of MUNSTER; containing 88 inhabitants. This small parish is situated upon the harbour of Waterford, and comprises only 194 statute acres, as applotted under the tithe act. It is a rectory, in the diocese of Waterford, forming part of the union of Killare: the tithes amount to £10.
