Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Shiel, Loch

Shiel, Loch, on the boundary between Invernessshire and Argyllshire; extends 17 miles SW. from Glenfinnan, is not more than 1 mile broad, and discharges the river Shiel, which flows 3 miles NW. to the sea at Loch Moidart.
