Purves Hall, a mansion in Eccles parish, Berwickshire, 3½ miles E by S of Greenlaw. Its owner, Charles Hyde Home-Purves, Esq. (b. 1850; suc. 1867), is heir to the Marchmont estate, and himself holds 750 acres in the shire, valued at £1236 per annum.Ord. Sur., sh. 25, 1865.
