Gartshore, an estate, with a mansion, in Kirkintilloch parish, Dumbartonshire. The mansion, standing 3 miles E of Kirkintilloch town, is a fine old edifice, with beautiful surrounding woods. The estate was purchased, a few years before his death, by Alexander Whitelaw, Esq., who owned 1710 acres in Dumbartonshire, valued at £5755 per annum, of which £3781 was for minerals.
