Unit Type:
Scottish Burgh/District
Status:
District of County
Date created:
after 1931

Unit ID:
12837732
Authorities:
1971 Census of Scotland, Table 25, 'Enumerated households by tenure and household amenities', for 'County, local authority areas'.

Notes:

The 1951 Census parish table indicates there were 4 Districts of County in Fife in 1931 but does not identify how they relate to the 7 existing in 1951. It also notes there were boundary changes in 1932, 1936, 1939 and 1945 so it is likely this unit was created in 1932 from St Andrews DoC (12837720) as it was the only DoC existing in 1931 with a boundary change noted for 1932.
