MELMERBY, a township in Wath parish, N. R. Yorkshire; on the Northeastern railway, at the junction of the branch to Northallerton, 3½ miles N by E of Ripon. It has a station with telegraph at the railway junction. Acres, 1,109. Real property, £2,241. Pop., 285. Houses, 70.
