SAMPFORD-BRETT, a parish, with a village, in Williton district, Somerset; adjacent to the Watchet railway, 1½ mile S W of Williton r. station. Post-town, Williton, under Taunton. Acres, 932. Real property, £1, 534. Pop., 280. Houses, 48. The manor belongs to Sir A. A. Hood, Bart The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells. Value, £400.* Patron, the Rev. Dr. Tripp. The church is good.
