The manor, with Hickleton Hall, belongs to Sir Charles Wood, Bart. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of York. Value, £150.* Patron, Viscount Halifax. The church is old but good; consists of nave, aisles, and chancel, with porch and tower; and contains an ancient font, and monuments of the Wentworths.
