Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for STOUPE-BROW, or Stow-Brow

STOUPE-BROW, or Stow-Brow, a hamlet in Fylingdales township, N. R. Yorkshire; 9½ miles NN W of Scarborough. A cliff here rises to the height of 893 feet, and commands a magnificent view of land and sea. Extensive alum-works are in the vicinity.
