Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Ulster Canal

Ulster Canal, extends from Charlemont (co. Armagh), on the river Blackwater (which is navigable thence to Lough Neagh), past Monaghan and Clones, to Upper Lough Erne (co. Fermanagh); 48 miles long; was begun in 1832.
